–GRADING: What to look for

Class assignments, worksheets laboratory and homework

•Science check up sheets

•Every assignment that receives points are recorded on the science check up sheet

•This sheet will also contain unit test score and overall grade in class.

•This sheet needs to be signed at the end of each unit.

–Interactive Notebook—Requires students to use creative ways to express scientific concepts.

•Creativity (COLORFUL)

•Completeness

•Neatness

•Accuracy

–Projects—Several projects will be assigned throughout the school semester.  These projects may be individual and/or group projects. Grading rubrics will be provided for each project.

–Pop Quiz

•Quiz tracking sheets

•Every quiz is recorded on the tracking sheet

•Quiz sheets should be initialed by parents

•Quiz sheets will need to be signed at the end of the semester

STUDENTS SHOULD BE REVIEWING EVERY NIGHT!!

–Unit Tests

•Unit tests will be given at the end of each unit or chapter of study

•Chapter/unit test scores will recorded on the homework check up sheet, along with  overall grade.

•Parent signatures are required on these sheets.
